About the Role

Design, build, and operate C#/.NET services for a dynamic, real-time, and customized internal web-based application that delivers proprietary investment ideas and information to the Portfolio Management team. The system is data-driven, handles thousands of securities in real time, and integrates with core trading and analytics systems. This role offers the opportunity to work on a modern .NET stack with valuable collaboration with end users, aiming to build a powerful, reliable, and easily extendable back-end.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate C#/.NET services that ingest, normalize, and distribute real-time market data for thousands of fixed-income securities.
  • Develop and extend REST APIs and GraphQL that power portfolio management workflows.
  • Build and operate event-driven data pipelines with Kafka, SQL Server, and DuckDB, connecting market data feeds, analytics, and the front end.
  • Maintain existing functionalities, including debugging production issues, modifying and extending features, and optimizing stability, throughput, and performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, quants, dev-ops, and other software engineers efficiently.
  • Contribute to the design of the platform and document technical decisions.
  • Engage with end users and gather feedback to continuously improve the software and build stakeholder management.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience developing production-grade back-end services.
  • Strong knowledge of database concurrency control, including locking mechanisms, race condition prevention, and ACID transaction principles.
  • Strong experience with C# and modern .NET (ASP.NET Core).
  • Experience in designing the framework and architecture of scalable, data-driven distributed systems and best practices.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and automated testing (xUnit or similar).
  • Experience with SQL skills and experience with Entity Framework Core and SQL Server.
  • Experience building event-driven and messaging-based systems (Kafka or similar).
  • Proficiency designing and integrating REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of financial markets, especially fixed-income products, will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of full-stack development, especially Angular21+, RxJs, and NgRx will be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of LLM Agents, AI-Driven Programming, and Eval-Driven Development will be considered an asset.
  • Exposure to PostgreSQL is a plus.
