About the Role
Noble Hearts HR Consulting & Staffing is seeking dependable and professional Facility Cooks for juvenile residential facilities in the Bronx and Brooklyn, NYC. This role requires efficiency in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining high food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals according to approved recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on schedule, including breakfasts and packed lunches
- Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and properly
- Supervise and assist kitchen helpers and support staff as needed
- Monitor food inventory and complete production logs/documentation
- Follow all NYC food safety and health regulations
- Support meal service operations within the facility environment
Requirements
- Valid NYC Food Protection Certificate (Required)
- Minimum 1-2 years of commercial, institutional, or facility cooking experience
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures
- Experience working with commercial kitchen equipment
- Ability to work weekends and holidays when needed
- Experience in residential, juvenile, shelter, healthcare, or community-based facilities preferred
