About the Role
Jabil is seeking a Principal Product Engineer to join their Cloud division, contributing to transformative growth by developing innovative end-customer product solutions. This role involves managing the technical direction of Advanced Compute Platform NPI and manufacturing programs, ensuring products meet rigorous standards through collaboration with various internal and external teams.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for product introductions and manufacturing performance for new and sustaining server and storage-based platforms.
- Organize teams and drive solutions for multiple, complex cross-functional problems.
- Provide thought leadership and direct engineering support to multiple manufacturing sites.
- Exchange knowledge and information with other Jabil facilities to ensure best practices are shared and implemented.
- Guide customer and Jabil operational teams towards successful resolution of complex product, process, and material issues.
- Partner with site operations and test leadership to drive root cause investigations.
- Act as the primary technical interface for customer product introductions and manufacturing performance.
- Contribute to the knowledge base for effective debug and train test/debug leads.
Requirements
- Must have experience working with product specifications and customer documentation.
- 12+ years' experience in a hardware product development environment with enterprise server, storage or networking products.
- Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
- Proven ability to work within a fast-paced and ambiguous business environment.
- Ability to travel both Domestic and/or international travel, up to 40% is required.
Skills
- Experience and deep level of understanding of server, storage, networking and GPGPU and PCIe-based accelerator architectures.
- Systems management experience with server products including embedded remote management standards, interfaces and applications.
- Working knowledge of OS, driver, firmware and hardware architecture, device interactions.
- Ability to leverage SW/HW expertise to determine root cause that leads to optimized solutions.
- Expertise with Linux operating systems, related applications and script development.
- Strong ability to communicate complex issues in simple, actionable terms at all levels within the organization.
- Strong balance of technical skills, experience-based judgment and business acumen.
- Strong ability to develop, grow and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships.
- Proficiency in Spanish language is a plus.
