About the Role
In the HR Generalist role, you will provide support for your internal clients and manage projects in support of the broader business. You will build collaborative partnerships with managers and associates by providing outstanding customer service and follow-through. This is a hands-on, solution-oriented role that helps drive business results by ensuring our ability to attract, engage, and develop the best talent in retail. You will also act as the data analyst and project coordinator for various HR projects. This role will support the Technology and Marketing organizations and other client groups as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide HR administrative support to client groups, acting as a point of contact for benefits, policies, procedures, and leaves of absence.
- Advise and coach associates and managers on various HR-related issues.
- Serve as the primary liaison between associates and other HR centers of excellence functions.
- Maintain HR Operations including org charts, associate rosters, processing associate changes, managing budget and forecasting, and scheduling meetings.
- Manage and coordinate major Talent programs such as succession planning, performance management, and the internship program.
- Track and analyze HR metrics including staffing, retention, turnover, and exit interviews to provide insights for talent discussions.
- Ensure successful onboarding for new associates by facilitating New Hire Orientation and onboarding sessions.
- Manage recognition programs by maintaining the program calendar, tracking nominations, and coordinating communication.
- Manage and/or contribute to special projects as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of professional-level HR experience.
- Previous experience supporting a Technology workforce is a plus.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and enjoy analyzing data.
- Strong technical acumen, including Powerpoint and HRIS (Oracle experience a plus).
- Strong communicator with strong writing and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of fundamental HR practices including employment law, compensation, hiring, performance management, coaching, and employee relations.
