About the Role
As a Route Driver for Culligan, you will be an integral part of our team, working directly with our customers. This role is based in a strong, profitable, and well-positioned company.
Responsibilities
- Directly interface with customers and perform routine customer service tasks including order entry and identifying opportunities for additional company products and services.
- Maintain routes and accounts for proper routing sequence, and assist with collections and minimum delivery requirements.
- Perform vehicle inspections, including DVIR and monthly commercial vehicle inspections.
- Deliver and exchange all types of P/E tanks, bottled water, salt, chemicals, and filters as required on routes.
- Collect and document receipt of money from customers and complete all paperwork legibly, including delivery tickets and route books.
- Operate carts, dollies, forklifts, lift gates, hand trucks, and hand tools.
- Work overtime if required to finish the route.
- Abide by all company policies.
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards and wear all safety equipment as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the city area of work.
- Maintain a good driving record.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Must pass a DOT physical (at time of hire and every two years after), a drug screen, and a background check.
- Ability to lift and carry over 100 pounds repeatedly.
- Ability to spend a significant amount of time walking, standing, sitting, and climbing in and out of the vehicle.
- Ability to perform body movements including bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching above the shoulder, crouching, balancing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to perform hand movements including twisting, turning, pulling, pushing, tapping, hitting, and squeezing.
- Ability to perceive objects by the eye.
- Vision must be in accordance with DOT requirements (must pass the vision test).
