About the Role
The Application Engineering Manager leads the application engineering team to support global business development and sales teams in technical applications of Test & Measurement products. This role oversees daily activities of Application Engineers, who recommend solutions based on customer needs, and fosters innovation towards new customer solutions.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, developing, and mentoring talent, including development engineers and applications engineers with unique expertise spanning multiple target industries and geographies.
- Build and maintain the team’s overall expertise in Emerson Test & Measurement equipment and their applications.
- Collaborate with Business Managers, Marketing, Sales & R&D to align the team's execution to growth strategy and short-term business needs.
- Engage with sales to drive customer engagements, through mutual understanding and prioritization of efforts, to achieve shared business goals.
- Manage ambiguity and drive change management as business strategy evolves.
- Drive engineering execution excellence.
- Handle special projects or tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in Engineering
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%), both domestic and international
- General test and measurement knowledge
- Only U.S. Persons (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 22 CFR §120) may be considered.
