About the Role
Americano Cafe is seeking a Cafe Worker to support daily cafe operations, including preparing beverages and food, processing customer orders, and running food. The role also involves stocking inventory, cleaning and sanitizing, and maintaining a clean, safe, and organized cafe environment. Team members provide friendly and professional customer service while working efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare coffee, espresso beverages, tea, smoothies, and other menu items.
- Greet customers, take and accurately process orders using the POS system, and provide friendly, professional service.
- Deliver food and beverages to customers promptly while ensuring accurate and appealing presentation.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized cafe by washing dishes, sanitizing workstations, cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, and removing trash.
- Restock beverages, food items, cups, lids, milk, syrups, and other supplies throughout each shift.
- Receive, organize, and rotate inventory using FIFO procedures while communicating supply shortages to management.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, opening, shift, and closing procedures to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and management to support smooth daily operations and provide an exceptional customer experience.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience in a barista, cafe, restaurant, cashier, food service, or customer service role.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Must have open availability for holidays and weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays.
