About the Role
As the central Finance contact person, you will create transparency, drive digitalization, and actively participate in the introduction of a new ERP system. You will support management and controlling with your expertise in important decisions and sustainably shape the further development of our finance processes.
Responsibilities
- Responsibility for the entire financial accounting of an independent company, potentially expanded to include selected controlling topics, with deep insight into the company.
- Preparation and reporting of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB and US-GAAP, as well as ensuring smooth daily operations (general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, sales and income taxes, etc.).
- Processing of payment transactions, reconciliation of accounts, balance confirmations.
- Sparring partner for management and controlling on financial issues.
- First point of contact for operational audits, auditors, and tax advisors.
- Key role in the introduction of SAP Business One and the digitalization of finance processes.
- Active design and optimization of workflows with direct influence on the company's further development.
Requirements
- Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship with further training as a certified accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), financial accountant, or comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in the independent management of accounting and the preparation of individual financial statements according to HGB.
- Confident use of ERP systems, ideally with SAP or comparable solutions.
- Interest in process optimization, digitalization, and the introduction of new systems.
- Good English skills for collaboration in an international environment and good German skills for collaboration at the Berlin site.
- Structured, independent, and pragmatic way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility.
- Analytical thinking skills and enjoyment of collaboration with different departments and cultures.
- Experience in an international corporate environment or with internal control systems (e.g., SOX) is an advantage.
- You are a good fit if you want to take responsibility, enjoy hands-on work, and are keen to actively shape finance processes.
