About the Role
Pluralis Research is pioneering Protocol Learning, a method for training and serving large models in a decentralized manner on consumer-grade devices. This role involves solving foundational research problems to advance Protocol Learning towards frontier scale and publishing findings in top-tier venues. You will collaborate with the engineering team to integrate your research into live training runs.
Responsibilities
- Identify and solve open problems in Protocol Learning, including communication efficiency, convergence under churn and staleness, heterogeneity, and robustness to malicious participants.
- Publish research findings in Tier-1 academic venues.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to implement research results in live training runs.
Requirements
- PhD in machine learning with publications in top-tier conferences (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR).
- Hands-on experience in large-scale distributed training and compression strategies.
- Strong programming ability in PyTorch.
- Belief in Protocol Learning as a viable path for collective, trustless, and sovereign AI.
- Professional-level English proficiency (written and spoken).
