About the Role
Lockton Re is offering Broker internships during the upcoming summer. The rotational program is hands-on, providing interns with a thorough induction to the business and culture, exposing them to multiple facets of the reinsurance industry including client relations, technical service, and project management.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a rotational program to learn reinsurance basics.
- Immerse yourself in the Lockton Re culture.
- Assist Brokers and Senior Brokers in the production, design, analysis, and administration of reinsurance programs for client partners.
- Assist in preparing pre-renewal documents, underwriting submissions, and organizing/tracking quotations.
- Assist in handling and maintaining files.
- Liaise with claims, accounting, and contract departments to ensure consistent service standards.
- Liaise with the Compliance department as needed to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Develop and present a long-term project to the Broking team based on program knowledge.
- Provide excellent and timely service to clients as accountable to Brokers and Senior Broker(s).
Requirements
- Entering junior or senior year of college.
