About the Role

The Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) Consulting Internship Program is a ten-week opportunity to gain hands-on consulting experience. Interns will work directly with clients and senior management, contributing to key internal initiatives. The program includes training to build consulting skills and a strong network. Interns will work on client engagements, analyze data, prepare hypotheses, and present recommendations to solve business challenges.

Responsibilities

Collect and analyze data to identify and implement solutions for asset and wealth managers.
Prepare and test hypotheses.
Present recommendations to clients to solve business challenges.
Follow the project delivery plan and produce accurate, complete, and timely deliverables.
Support the creation of client deliverables by assisting in client meetings and workshops.
Maintain project plans.
Perform analysis in Excel.
Provide effective content creation (e.g., PowerPoint).
Develop meaningful and successful relationships with clients and vendors.
Act as a helpful and respectful point of contact for stakeholders.
Contribute to the wider Alpha community by participating in business management or practice areas.
Maintain a high-level understanding of the challenges facing the Asset & Wealth Management Industry.
Analyze data, conduct industry research, and build presentations for senior stakeholders.
Participate in client workshops and help develop recommendations to solve business challenges.
Gain exposure to strategy, operations, technology, and organizational transformation.
Analyze data, conduct research, build presentations, and gather business requirements.
Participate in client meetings and help develop solutions to operational and technology challenges.
Gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle.

Requirements

Undergraduate and non-MBA master's students graduating between September 2027 and June 2028.
Highly motivated individuals excited by problem-solving, consulting, and making an impact.
Genuine interest in financial services, consulting, and helping clients solve complex business challenges.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach problems in a structured way.
Intellectual curiosity and a desire to continuously learn, develop, and take on new challenges.
An entrepreneurial, collaborative, and "builder" mindset with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever needed.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and confidently.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Leadership experience through academic, professional, extracurricular, athletic, volunteer, or personal pursuits.
Available for the duration of the internship: June 14, 2027 – August 20, 2027.
Willing to work from our Toronto office for the duration of the internship, with an expectation of ~3 days per week in-office.
Willing to travel as needed for client engagements, workshops, and team events.
