About the Role
Schnabel is seeking a temporary full-time intern with a Civil Engineering background to support our growing business. The emphasis for this position is broadening the intern’s practical knowledge and experience by applying professional principles to real problems under the supervision of senior engineering personnel. The position will be held from May through August of 2027.
Responsibilities
- Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists while under the supervision of senior engineering personnel.
- Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers in accordance with internal drafting procedures and guidelines.
- Perform structural and geotechnical design calculations for tunnels and underground structures including tunnels, shafts, excavation support, and other underground facilities.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver’s license as driving is an essential function of the job.
- Ability to pass a background check which may include criminal history, motor vehicle record and credit check.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

- Enrollment in other college engineering or relevant science programs may be considered.

- $19.00 to $25.00 per hour
