About the Role
The Austin plant has an opening for Production Professional opportunities. Successful candidates will work in our food processing production facility located in Austin, Minnesota, and enjoy competitive wages along with a comprehensive benefits package. The Austin plant specializes in the production of items including SPAM, Dry Sausage, Bacon and Fresh pork.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
- Drive a forklift consistent with company standards.
- Work in a refrigerated environment with temperatures averaging 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Learn and perform a wide variety of jobs and duties across the plant, including grinding, batching, operating forklifts, slicing, and boxing products.
- Prioritize people safety and food safety.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to complete job-related paperwork.
- Basic computer skills for job-related tasks.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions throughout a shift.
- Ability to kneel, squat, and climb as necessary to complete job-related tasks.
- Weekend work is required.
