About the Role
As a QA Tester, you are responsible for the quality of all aspects of the game, not only the bugs or the game itself. You will communicate with the community manager about player feedback and with the team about the state of game development to manage and plan tasks and test cycles. You are the owner of the product's quality and are expected to push quality, not just report issues.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the overall quality of all aspects of the game
- Play the game, be part of the community, and incorporate player feedback into tasks
- Create and discuss game testing plans/checklists with the team and leads
- Create reports and educate departments and colleagues on the game’s quality status
- Maintain high internal QA standards
- Work with multiple internal and external test teams
- Actively seek opportunities for process and work style improvement
- Create and execute training to increase employee product knowledge
- Evaluate, implement, and utilize bug-tracking tools to analyze key metrics and inform stakeholders
- Use data to develop risk assessment profiles and identify major risks in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
- Excellent communication skills in English
- German language skills are a bonus
- Passion and interest in playing video games
- Understanding of how games work
