About the Role
As a Senior AI Engineer, you will be instrumental in building and deploying the AI-native SDLC platform, directly impacting how engineers build software. You will work closely with product engineering teams, ensuring the tooling, patterns, and support are practical and seamlessly integrated. This senior individual contributor role requires ownership of delivery, reliability, and adoption of the platform.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain platform components, including agent workflows, MCP servers, skills, configuration presets, eval harnesses, and developer tooling.
- Deliver production-grade components with clear ownership, quality gates, and lifecycles.
- Write production code for agent infrastructure, tooling integrations, MCP servers, and eval pipelines.
- Embed with product engineering teams to introduce AI-native workflows, debug issues, run enablement sessions, and translate blockers into platform improvements.
- Produce working examples in real repositories to demonstrate and encourage adoption of AI-native patterns.
- Build eval harnesses, observability, and verification for non-deterministic systems to ensure agent behavior is trustworthy.
- Contribute to shared coding conventions, trust/verification policies, and presets.
- Evaluate new models, tools, and protocols such as MCP, A2A, and agent frameworks.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong production engineering fundamentals.
- Thorough, current, hands-on expertise in AI-native engineering, including agents, tool use, multi-step workflows, RAG, context- and harness-engineering, common failure modes, and dependability patterns.
- Practical experience with eval and observability frameworks for non-deterministic, LLM-powered systems.
- Deep familiarity with everyday product engineering workflows like code review, CI/CD, incident handling, and delivery pressure.
- Strong collaborative mindset and comfort working within other teams' codebases.
- Ability to give and receive direct feedback.
- Strong delivery orientation with a preference for iterative shipping and accountability for long-term outcomes.
- Excellent technical communication skills across all engineering levels.
