About the Role

In this role at Yoshi en & Edeneve, you will play a central part in our financial accounting, ensuring our accounting processes run reliably and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to actively develop processes and systems and drive the digitalization of our finance structures.

Responsibilities

Independent management and maintenance of the general ledger and review of automatically generated outgoing invoices in the ERP system (Odoo)
Lead preparation of monthly financial statements and participation in annual financial statements according to HGB, including timely and independent execution of all balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and provisions
Preparation of VAT returns and ongoing reconciliation and communication with tax authorities and external tax advisors domestically and internationally
Responsibility for weekly payment runs and cash management (currency purchases, etc.)
Central point of contact for technical questions in daily business, execution of regular booking controls, and close collaboration in cross-functional teams
Active design, optimization, and implementation of new internal processes and system functionalities

Requirements

Completion of commercial training (e.g., as a tax assistant or in accounting) or a relevant degree, plus at least 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably in e-commerce
Sound technical knowledge in accounting according to HGB and familiar use of ERP systems and Excel
Experience in D2C and knowledge of cross-border tax issues (e.g., UK, Switzerland, Poland) are advantageous
Understanding of the specifics of online retail (such as payment providers, marketplaces, or shipping cost structures)
Structured, proactive, and meticulous working style combined with an analytical mindset
Strong enthusiasm for the automation and digitalization of modern financial processes
Strong communication skills as a competent sparring partner for internal interfaces
German language skills at C2 level, fluent English (C1), and residence in or around Berlin
