About the Role
As Senior Finance Manager for our Core Fund, you will lead the finance control function for Student Living and BTR operational assets. You will own financial reporting integrity, compliance, cash flow management, and investor reporting. This role involves managing a team of accountants, driving improvements in reporting and controls, and partnering with the business, leadership, and investors.
Responsibilities
- Own the group month-end close and consolidation process, including detailed review of P&L and balance sheet reconciliations
- Lead production of all financial reporting obligations, including internal, statutory and investor reporting
- Manage quarterly distributions and cash flow forecasting, and work with Treasury on debt, hedge and interest positions
- Develop and mentor the finance team, and business partner across operations, legal, marketing and corporate finance
- Lead year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and investors
- Drive continuous improvement across reporting, automation and finance processes
Requirements
- Professionally qualified (CA/CPA) accountant
- 10+ years' post-qualification experience, ideally having started in a chartered firm
- Experience working in the property funds management sector is essential
- Strong experience in financial accounting, month-end close and finance ledger systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong team management and talent development experience
- A self-starter mindset, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to see the big picture
