About the Role
Develop software that is used in real healthcare settings. Work in a structured, pragmatic way and develop professionally. MEDIVISE is a growing HealthTech startup from Berlin developing digital infrastructure for modern medical care processes. Our systems connect software, hardware, cloud infrastructure, and the German Telematics infrastructure, creating new access points to medical care, diagnostics, and digital health services. We are developing an open platform for applications such as video consultations, digital initial assessments, e-prescriptions, eAU, diagnostics, and other digital health services. We are looking for a Junior to Mid-Level Software Developer to further develop our platform and take over technical areas with growing experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop our backend platform with Kotlin, Quarkus, and PostgreSQL.
- Work on our web applications with Flask, Jinja2, and HTMX.
- Develop BoxOS and connect hardware, telematics infrastructure, and other devices.
- Develop and integrate REST APIs and external services.
- Write automated tests and work with code reviews.
- Support deployments with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions.
- Document technical decisions and assist with analysis and troubleshooting.
- Ensure developed software is reliably used in real operations after development, testing, and review.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Media Informatics, Business Informatics, or a comparable field, or equivalent technical qualification with practical experience.
- Good knowledge of at least one modern programming language (e.g., Kotlin, Java, Python, C#, or TypeScript).
- Proficient in Git and relational databases.
- Basic understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and web applications.
- Willingness to learn different technologies and parts of the platform.
- Independent, structured, and meticulous work style.
- Responsibility when handling sensitive health data.
- Very good German language skills (written and spoken, at least C1 level).
