About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Rapyuta Robotics (RR), you will oversee multiple customer implementation projects, leading the entire deployment phase. Your primary mission is to enhance the organization's overall deployment success rate by standardizing processes and scaling best practices across multiple FDEs and projects simultaneously, leveraging your hands-on field experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize a portfolio of multiple deployment/implementation projects.
- Coordinate Field Engineer assignments and monitor their workload.
- Develop and disseminate deployment standards, playbooks, and best practices.
- Train Field Engineers, review their technical and customer-facing skills, and conduct one-on-one meetings.
- Report progress and risks to customer executives and internal management.
- Identify common issues across projects and provide feedback to product and engineering teams.
- Define hiring requirements and design onboarding processes for Field Engineers.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience leading multiple customer implementation projects.
- Experience managing multiple team members and overseeing concurrent projects.
- Experience in scope assessment, prioritization, and resource allocation for projects.
- Experience negotiating and reporting to customer executives and internal management.
- Experience leading the standardization and systematization of deployment processes.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and team members concurrently, enhancing organizational reproducibility beyond individual project success.
- Ability to identify common patterns across projects and translate them into standards and playbooks.
- Ability to mentor team members by reviewing their technical decisions and customer interactions.
- Ability to prioritize effectively within resource constraints and communicate decisions to management.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technology and business, aligning expectations with both engineers and customers.
