About the Role
W Sydney is seeking a Beverage & Food Team Leader for the Banquets department. This role plays a significant part in assisting daily banquet operations and the team, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting all event aspects. The goal is to continually improve guest and talent satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinating banquet staff activities during events.
- Ensuring banquet rooms are arranged according to client specifications and company standards.
- Welcoming and assisting guests to ensure their satisfaction.
- Effectively communicating with kitchen staff for prompt and efficient service.
- Maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas.
- Addressing guest complaints and issues professionally.
- Assisting in event planning and execution, including setup and clean-up.
- Training and mentoring new staff members.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to hotel standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Manage the daily operations ensuring that the talent is briefed on the service expectations.
- Ensure talent is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met.
- Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
