About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Curriculum Designer to develop engaging, age-appropriate learning content for primary and early secondary students in coding, game development, and AI creativity. This role involves creating lesson plans, activities, and assessments that align with the Australian Curriculum and empower facilitators to teach STEM and AI concepts effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Design engaging, age-appropriate learning content across coding & game-development and Create with AI curriculum streams.
  • Build content including lesson plans, activities, assessments, and teacher guidance for primary and early secondary students.
  • Create clear, engaging explanations of concepts like sequencing, branching, loops, and algorithms for young learners.
  • Design hands-on learning experiences using platforms like Code Camp World, Minecraft Education, and generative-AI tools.
  • Develop content options that cater to different abilities and experience levels.
  • Equip facilitators with teacher notes, learning objectives, success criteria, and classroom tips.
  • Ensure all content is mapped to the Australian Curriculum and internal frameworks.
  • Collaborate with team leads to refine and iterate on content.
  • Deliver content on time, in agreed formats and templates.

Requirements

  • Experience writing curriculum, lesson plans, or educational resources for primary (ideally also early secondary) students.
  • Hands-on knowledge of coding education platforms (block-based or JavaScript-based), educational games like Minecraft Education, and/or fluency with generative-AI creative tools.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into simple, engaging explanations for children.
  • Background in teaching, learning design, educational publishing, or EdTech.
  • Strong writing skills with an emphasis on clarity, structure, and pedagogical soundness.
  • Confidence in designing differentiated activities and assessment strategies.
  • Self-motivation and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines independently.
  • Proven track record of hands-on, project-based learning.
