About the Role

Responsibilities
- Attend post-award review meetings for project information and preplanning.
- Participate in preparing construction schedules, organization structure, staff selection, and resource requirements.
- Direct and control construction projects to meet specifications and timelines efficiently.
- Assist the project manager/engineer with material shipment and shop drawing approvals.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities to align with project schedules.
- Inform supervisors and subcontractors of construction schedule changes.
- Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports.
- Review and approve requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and other reports.
- Cooperate with the owner and representatives, providing updates on construction progress.
- Collaborate with architects or owner representatives in the company's long-term interest.
- Hold job site meetings with the project manager and regional manager.
- Report regularly to the project manager on job progress, plans, and potential issues.
- Maintain a daily diary of significant project events, conditions, and agreements.
- Direct adherence to the company's safety program.
- Make decisions under tight deadlines.
- Organize people, tools, and equipment, and manage multiple activities.
- Demonstrate leadership skills, including facing challenges, directing others, and addressing conflict.
- Exhibit commitment to quality by evaluating and improving processes and meeting customer expectations.
- Act with integrity, supporting the company and its values while meeting customer requirements.
Requirements
- Recent college graduate with a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 0-1 year of relevant construction experience; internships, co-ops, or field experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints, or willingness to learn.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Possess and maintain a current, valid driver's license.
