About the Role
As a technology-enabled market maker, Optiver thrives on collaboration and solving challenging problems. This role is crucial for advancing our experienced recruitment strategy, focusing on finding, attracting, and hiring top technical talent by working closely with business leaders.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end recruitment process for technology roles, including sourcing, headhunting, selection, interviewing, offering, and closing candidates.
- Assist with non-technology experienced hiring as needed.
- Build strong partnerships with engineering leaders, hiring managers, and external agency partners.
- Design innovative methods to identify and engage passive technical talent.
- Integrate AI into the recruitment workflow to accelerate sourcing, outreach, market mapping, and reporting.
- Coach and advise stakeholders on hiring processes and best practices.
- Utilize data to provide insights into pipeline health and drive decisions.
Requirements
- Proven end-to-end experienced recruiter with a specialization in technology hiring.
- Background from a leading tech company or financial services/trading firm with primary tech recruitment experience.
- Ability to assess technical depth from CVs or GitHub profiles.
- Comfortable stepping into non-tech searches.
- Early adopter of AI in daily work; hands-on experience with tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or similar is a significant plus.
- High-agency, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Consultative, organized, and data-literate.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Greenhouse and LinkedIn Recruiter.
- Team player with a passion for hiring top talent in a high-performance environment.
- Full Australian working rights are essential.
