About the Role

Responsibilities

Communicate release scope, purpose, schedules, status, and issue escalation while maintaining release quality and integrity.
Plan and facilitate release and patching activities across development and testing for timely deployments.
Manage interdependencies to ensure milestone adherence and release integrity.
Maintain environment consistency across testing, external testing, and Production environments.
Provide environment support for internal and external test environments, including chairing war rooms.
Conduct Post-Incident Reviews (PIRs) to identify and address release quality issues.
Define and manage technical change control processes, ensuring all changes meet readiness criteria before deployment.
Drive continuous improvement in release and environment management processes.
Coordinate release management and packaging for the CHESS project.
Communicate with vendors and internal delivery teams for release packaging.

Requirements

Minimum of 8+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, testing, deploying, maintaining, and controlling software releases across environments.
Experience managing others while coordinating Environment and Release Management activities across a portfolio within the CHESS team.
Experience and knowledge of release management principles, methodologies, and tools.
Expertise in Environment and Release Management across legacy on-prem and cloud (AWS) environments.
Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle and CI/CD principles.
Experience with software version control, branching strategy, and dependency management.
Experience streamlining release strategy and building towards a defined release cadence.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders across Architecture, Information Security, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and QE&T.
Ability to build comprehensive KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to measure release performance and success rates.
Experience managing a knowledge base of standards and training material.
Ability to identify opportunities for cloud efficiency enhancements.
Experience in highly regulated financial environments.
Experience working in a cross-functional, agile delivery team.
Comfortable presenting at various forums and to senior stakeholders.
Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
