About the Role
The Affinity Group Segment Specialist (K-12) plans and executes a customized sales strategy for a unique segment of K-12 and education accounts. This role requires deep knowledge of the key account segment and building strong relationships with Food Service Directors and Chefs. The specialist provides ongoing client support, including product demonstrations, training, and understanding client needs.
Responsibilities
- Designs and implements customized sales strategies in conjunction with the Director of K12 for key accounts.
- Collaborates with the sales force on go-to-market strategies, competitive analysis, successes, and challenges.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of operators within the account segment and acts as a resource and solution provider.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of key local distributors to gain their support for stocking and selling products.
- Understands strategic account details including menu rotations, population and trends, desired cost structures, conversion opportunities, product training, and multiple product uses.
- Maintains up-to-date customer profile folders and utilizes the CRM system weekly for sales call activity reporting, updates, follow-ups, and customer profile management.
- Communicates changes in product usage and distributor information.
- Provides sales results and updates to manufacturers as needed.
- Maintains samples in the assigned office.
- Addresses client quality control issues and communicates resolution processes.
- Participates in visits to key strategic accounts with a prepared itinerary.
- Cooks food products and creates menu combinations to aid in the sales process.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Experience with innovative marketing programs and K–12 industry partnerships.

- Strong problem-solving and strategic planning skills.
- Proficiency in using the CRM System daily.
- Experience with Call Reporting in CRM System.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Flexible work hours to accommodate position demands, including some weekends.
- Ability to travel daily up to 75% of the time within the territory.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
