About the Role
Steel Sports is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Pitching and/or Hitting Instructor to develop baseball players' mechanics, technique, and game understanding. This role emphasizes player development, safety, and fostering a love for the game through high-quality instruction.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group instruction on pitching and hitting fundamentals
- Analyze player performance and provide personalized coaching and feedback
- Create structured, progressive training plans to improve mechanics and consistency
- Teach proper warm-up, recovery, and injury prevention techniques
- Support players’ overall development in a positive and encouraging environment
Requirements
- Must have prior coaching or instructional experience (1+ year preferred)
- Played at high school varsity level or above (college or professional experience strongly preferred)
- Must be 18 years or older
- Strong communication and motivational skills, especially with youth athletes (ages 7–18)
- Ability to plan and lead both private lessons and small-group sessions
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
