About the Role
Integer is seeking an EHSS Manager to lead site Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) initiatives. This role focuses on meeting and exceeding site and company goals by leading compliance and improvement projects for proactive EHSS systems to ensure associate and visitor safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead site EHSS initiatives to meet and exceed goals.
- Develop and implement proactive EHSS systems.
- Adhere to Integer’s Values and all safety, environmental, security, and quality requirements.
- Drive a culture of EHSS excellence through associate engagement.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on EHSS matters, interpreting regulations and standards.
- Provide EHSS leadership and input to the Plant Leadership Team.
- Ensure site compliance with local, county, state, and country EHSS regulations.
- Lead the execution of EHSS imperatives through Continuous Improvement processes.
- Create and manage an EHSS budget.
- Focus on talent development through individual growth and development plans.
- Engage with associates to eliminate risk and promote safety.
- Define goals and objectives for direct reports, supporting Key Performance Indicators.
- Ensure regular meetings with direct reports to monitor performance and review development plans.
- Interact with external customers during site visits and audits.
- Partner with EHSS peers to ensure alignment on strategies and actions.
- Contribute to the Site level KPI board and daily production board meetings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support Management of Change.
- Manage daily, weekly, or monthly EHSS reporting and metrics.
- Supervise EHSS staff or support personnel.
- Provide direction and support for onsite Medical Services.
- Champion EHSS Excellence by supporting site associates in EHSS engagement goals.
- Promote associate safety engagement by encouraging observations, suggestions, and near-miss reporting.
- Assess new equipment and chemicals based on EHSS principles.
- Manage incident and work-related injury investigations to determine root cause.
- Track EHSS corrective actions for prioritization, completion, and effectiveness.
- Conduct and coordinate EHSS internal self-assessments and inspections.
- Provide direction or lead EHSS committees, Emergency Response Team (ERT), and project teams.
- Organize EHSS management review meetings.
Requirements
- Evidence of learning, retaining, and applying knowledge.

- Ability to collaborate with other departments to meet common goals.
- First-hand experiences implementing and/or sustaining EHSS practices.
- Knowledge of country, state/county, and local regulations regarding safety, environmental protection, and hazardous waste transportation (OSHA, EPA, DOT, IATA, HSA, Mexican NOM’s).
- Knowledge of site-specific requirements including lasers, radiation, process safety, emergency response, permitting, ergonomics, and workers’ compensation & injury/illness management.
- Demonstrated experiences with strategic and direct management of people in fast-paced and complex manufacturing environments.
- A toolkit of leadership skills, including awareness of Emotional Intelligence.
- A calm demeanor that transcends high-energy, constantly changing production environments.
- Well-developed skill set for planning, executing, and delivering projects and assignments on time and on budget.
- Implementation experience of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and collaborating with Quality to achieve/maintain ISO 13485 certifications.
