About the Role
We are part of the world wide GH Group in Rochester, New York that supplies integrated induction heating systems worldwide. Our core focus is the integration of induction into oxygen-free environments (vacuum, inert, and reducing). We are looking for an Electrical Technician with the ability to troubleshoot AC/DC circuits, understand relay logic, read and understand electrical schematics, and is good with math. Responsibilities include reading electrical schematics, electrical hardware specification, controls/interface programming, and communicating with both customers and vendors. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot new equipment in test, I/O checks
- Develop an understanding of the equipment to support process development
- Develop the ability to work with PLCs
- Support the build team as needed
- Willing to travel to customer sites in the USA, Western Europe, and Singapore (approximately 20% travel)
- Communicate effectively with internal staff and customers
Requirements
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of products
- Willing to travel when and where required
