About the Role

Responsible for hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment, including installation, troubleshooting, repair, adjustment, cleaning, greasing, and replacement. Maintain shop, tools, work orders, logs, and inventories. Report to the Manager of the HVAC Shop.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on maintenance of HVAC systems and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, adjust, clean, grease, and replace equipment, parts, and supplies.
  • Maintain the Shop and tools, work orders, logs and inventories.
  • Report to the Manager of the HVAC Shop.

Requirements

  • Must have New York City Refrigeration Engineer's License.
  • Must have EPA-CFC Universal certification.
  • 3 years' mechanical maintenance experience with absorption and freon A/C equipment.
  • Knowledge and skills in electric, plumbing systems, refrigeration cycle, common parts and pneumatic/electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams and nameplates.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be flexible with work hours.
