About the Role

This role is for an individual in the early stages of their merchandising career, seeking to learn and develop within the field. The position involves a passion for both product and data analysis, requiring collaborative work, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Create and update reports to track sales, stock levels, and KPIs.
  • Place purchase orders with correct data and monitor deliveries to ensure timely stock availability.
  • Handle daily administrative tasks and ad hoc analysis under supervision.
  • Liaise with suppliers and logistics teams daily, providing feedback to the wider team.
  • Assist the merchandising team in executing product launches.
  • Allocate stock to stores, ensuring optimal distribution based on performance, demand, and capacity.
  • Monitor store sales and stock levels to identify and address risks and opportunities.
  • Manage replenishment to ensure bestseller availability and minimize overstock.
  • Support new store openings with initial stock allocation planning and execution.
  • Maintain accurate allocation data and ensure system updates.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights on store performance and stock health.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with numbers and advanced Excel skills, comfortable handling large datasets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
