About the Role

Flourish is seeking a finance leader to elevate its early-stage finance function, reporting directly to the CEO. This role involves bringing operational and strategic excellence to billing operations, driving timely collections, improving revenue cycle performance, and providing clear financial insights to the C-suite. The ideal candidate will transform messy data into clear insights and drive better business decisions.

Responsibilities

Create visibility into burn, runway, and unit economics.
Own budgets, financial models, and forecasts.
Prepare monthly financials with a Fractional CFO.
Identify and implement process improvements for financial reporting accuracy, scalability, and automation.
Oversee accounting/controller responsibilities for the first 6-12 months.
Manage the tax process across the MSO/PC structure, ensuring compliance and optimizing efficiency.
Own end-to-end billing and collections, driving operational excellence and strategic improvement.
Support and manage the billing associate.
Analyze billing to identify opportunities for revenue improvement.
Develop data-driven methods to identify patients at risk of not meeting billing engagement thresholds.
Develop data-driven methods to identify patients at risk of Medicaid churn and ensure care team follow-up.

Requirements

Served in a finance or strategy leadership role at a startup or high-growth environment.
10+ years of relevant experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, private equity, and operating roles.
2+ years of early-stage startup operating experience.
4+ years of people management experience.
Experience building financial models and operating financial systems from the ground up.
Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals, especially with MSO/PC corporate structure.
Experience with project management, cross-functional collaboration, and operations building.
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and at a detailed execution level.
Must be at least 18 years old.
