About the Role

As an FP&A Junior Analyst, you will join Tyro’s Finance team to build a strong foundation in commercial finance, business performance analysis, reporting, and data-driven decision support. This graduate role is designed for a curious and analytical individual interested in understanding the operations of a fast-moving payments and banking business. You will collaborate with FP&A Managers and Senior Managers to support reporting, forecasting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives, gaining broad exposure across FP&A, operational finance, data analysis, and business partnering.

Responsibilities

  • Support monthly management reporting and performance analysis.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes through data collection, consolidation, and analysis.
  • Help prepare reporting and analysis that supports Finance and business leaders in understanding performance and key business drivers.
  • Assist with analysis across revenue, gross profit, operating expenses, headcount, and capital expenditure.
  • Support ad hoc commercial analysis and business performance initiatives.
  • Help maintain and improve financial models, planning templates, and reporting outputs.
  • Improve the quality, reliability, and usability of financial and operational data used for reporting and decision-making.
  • Investigate differences between systems, reports, and source data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, reduce manual work, and increase automation.
  • Support reporting improvement, process documentation, and data consistency initiatives.
  • Work with Finance, Data, and business stakeholders to improve confidence in reporting outputs.
  • Assist Financial Control and broader Finance teams during peak reporting periods.
  • Help ensure outputs are accurate, well-controlled, and appropriately documented.
  • Support finance process improvement initiatives as priorities evolve.
  • Build strong working relationships across Finance and business teams.
  • Respond to information requests in a timely and helpful way.
  • Bring curiosity, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and support the broader Finance team where needed.

Requirements

  • Recent graduate or early-career professional in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Data Analytics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical capability and attention to detail.
  • Intermediate Excel skills, with interest in developing modelling and analytical capability.
  • Curiosity about business performance and how financial information supports decision-making.
  • Comfort working with data and identifying trends, issues, and inconsistencies.
  • Exposure to data analysis, reporting tools, BI platforms, SQL, or Snowflake would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
  • Willingness to learn, ask questions, and continuously improve.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
