About the Role

Join our Pediatric School-Based Team and use your passion for helping students improve mobility, access their educational environment, and reach their full potential! HealthPRO® Pediatrics is a leading national provider of highly skilled therapy and educational professionals, dedicated to delivering outstanding services that support student success and improve lives. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join our school-based team for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
Adheres to state requirements for supervision of PTAs to provide services with the highest care standards.
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
Promptly and thoroughly documents and maintains clinical and administrative records regarding patient limitations/interventions, treatments, responses and progress to administered therapy as well as discharge summaries.
Maintains patient records confidentially.
Records treatment charges daily and completes documentation in accurate and timely manner.
Complies with the applicable State Physical Therapy Practice Act, codes and regulations.
Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
Maintains clean work area, clean treatment rooms and requests needed supplies.
Maintains professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers and other professionals as it relates to collaboration of care for the patient.
Keeps regular clinic hours as approved by Manager.
Directs all patient scheduling matters through the front desk coordinator.
Attends meetings as requested.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
Current State Physical Therapist license.
Current CPR certification.
Efficient problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication skills and time management skills.
Must keep best interest of the client and family at the forefront of all activities.
Collaborative nature.
Allegiance to the mission, values, and vision of the organization.

Skills

Pediatric physical therapy principles, techniques, materials, and equipment.
Evaluating a patient’s physical therapy needs.
Communicating a patient’s needs to the legal guardian and/or appropriate parties.
High degree of written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
CPT & ICD 10 coding procedures.
Thorough knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices.
Working knowledge of computer programs (EMRs).
