About the Role
Serve as the technical lead for patient interaction with Pomelo, from enrollment through their entire care journey. Build features that engage patients, provide care guidance, triage needs, and offer support, ultimately aiming to improve health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction for mobile development strategy and patient-facing apps.
- Rapidly prototype and ship features in patient mobile and web apps.
- Use AI tools to move fast and test ideas that improve engagement and retention.
- Steer product direction for patient support and retention in the critical first month.
- Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to translate patient needs into features.
- Mentor and grow junior engineers.
- Set technical standards, architecture patterns, and development practices for patient-facing products.
Requirements
- Deep experience building and shipping consumer or patient-facing products (mobile, web, or both).
- Served as a technical lead, setting architecture direction and mentoring engineers.
- Strong opinions about building great user experiences.
- Comfortable working across the full stack in a startup environment.
- Keeping up with trends in LLM coding agents.
- Enjoy collaborating closely with product and design.
