About the Role
Join BRC in a leadership role that helps ensure safety, stability, and support for individuals experiencing homelessness. As a Shift Supervisor, you’ll oversee frontline staff, maintain shelter operations, and ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Supervise Community Technicians and operations support staff
- Oversee daily shelter operations, ensuring safety, security, and fire safety compliance
- Ensure staff follow all agency policies, procedures, and documentation standards
- Review and maintain accurate records, reports, and clinical notes
- Respond to incidents and provide guidance to staff as needed
- Participate in weekly program and leadership meetings
- Provide emergency First Aid/CPR assistance when required
- Perform related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience working in homeless shelters or similar settings preferred
- At least one year of supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of addiction and recovery processes
- Strong computer literacy and documentation skills
- First Aid and Fire Safety certifications required (or willingness to obtain)
- CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain)
