About the Role
DiVal Safety Equipment is seeking a self-motivated Utility Channel Sales Representative to serve and grow business and relationships with established customers, as well as acquire new accounts within their region. This role offers significant earning potential, entrepreneurial opportunities, professional development, and advancement within an industry leader experiencing explosive growth.
Responsibilities
- Achieve annual required growth targets.
- Spend 50% of time engaging with customers and prospects in the assigned territory.
- Continuously identify new sales opportunities and develop new business.
- Manage and meet supportive metrics (calls, appointments, opportunities, and quotes) in CRM.
- Plan sales calls with clear objectives and high-value questions.
- Attend regular meetings with specialists to enhance customer experience and address needs.
- Identify new value-driven products for customers.
- Collaborate with the corporate accounts division to build relationships with key accounts.
- Focus on horizontal growth and recapturing lost business within accounts.
Requirements
- Demonstrates mastery of consultative selling, marketing principles, prospecting, networking, and negotiations.
- Adheres to DiVal Core Values.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret basic sales reports.
- Possesses a firm understanding of the competitive landscape within accounts and the territory.
- Proficient in basic math.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to acquire functional knowledge of various computer programs.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable vehicle record.
- Abides by the company dress code.
- Meets travel requirements: average of 3-5 overnights per month for territory travel, plus an additional 8-12 overnights per year for corporate travel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to withstand long periods of time working on a computer.
