About the Role

This position in the Finishing Department assists on the shop floor to ensure production goals are met. The role offers opportunities for growth through cross-training and job rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of tasks in the Finishing Department.
• Assist on the shop floor to ensure production goals are met.
• Operate Straightener, Peeler, Grinder, Saw, and Crane machinery.
• Perform marking and packing duties.
• Use measuring devices such as gauges, meters, calipers, and measuring tapes.
• Operate heavy machinery including forklifts and cranes.
• Use heat-treating furnaces to accurately heat treat bar and coil products according to specific mill instructions.
• Regulate furnaces and adjust for non-conformances.
• Assist with machine setup.
• Follow and implement all prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Requirements

• One (1) year of manufacturing experience.
• High School Diploma / GED.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
