About the Role
As Humana transforms into an AI-first enterprise, this Senior Product Manager role focuses on designing, prototyping, and scaling AI solutions. You will own an AI product or capability, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build AI-powered solutions that address enterprise challenges and drive value from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own the discovery, definition, and delivery of an AI product or capability, including writing PRDs and defining the target-state vision.
- Understand business operations and map services to define scoped AI use cases with clear value propositions.
- Build working prototypes and demos using AI tools to test feasibility and value.
- Translate validated use cases into requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and success metrics.
- Shape the end-to-end user experience in collaboration with design.
- Drive the build from prototype to production, managing the backlog, sequencing work, and making scope/tradeoff decisions.
- Build golden sets and ground truth, run offline and live evaluations, and select appropriate metrics to measure impact.
- Support high-level architecture discussions and own prompt engineering and skill creation components.
- Partner with engineers, data scientists, and designers to deliver against roadmap and milestones.
- Prepare documentation and scorecards for AI governance review.
- Communicate progress, requirements, trade-offs, ROI, and evaluation results to stakeholders.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of product or related experience.
- 3+ years in product management with hands-on experience building or shipping AI/ML or GenAI products.
- Regularly use AI tools and prototype own ideas.
- Experience building or running evaluations, including golden sets, ground truth, and accuracy-, precision-, and recall-based metrics.
- Working understanding of modern AI/ML and GenAI: LLMs, RAG, agents, prompt/harness engineering, and evaluation methodology.
- Ability to communicate effectively between business and technical domains.
- Ability to build a value proposition and a basic business case.
- Experience in healthcare, insurance, or another regulated industry (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with agent frameworks, GraphRAG / knowledge graphs, or reusable skills / plugins (preferred).
- Working proficiency in Python (preferred).
- Familiarity with responsible AI, bias mitigation, and compliance for sensitive data (preferred).
- Comfort with ambiguity and a fast pace, with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills (preferred).
