About the Role
SITECH Eastern Canada Ltd. is Canada’s largest dealership for Trimble construction equipment. Our team understands how to apply Trimble technology to solve customer challenges. We help civil engineering and construction customers leverage technology for their fleet and survey needs. The Technology Representatives are responsible for consulting with and improving the business success of all customers in an assigned territory.
Responsibilities
- Increasing hardware and service sales
- Proactively managing customer list and prospective customers
- Attending trade shows
- Researching and developing quote proposals
- Continued sales support of existing clients ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction
- Re-establish, qualify and maintain contact with customers to increase sales
- Proactively generate service and equipment sales leads and manage accounts in an assigned territory through weekly communication
- Employ a disciplined call campaign, update customer account information and develop relationships to maintain accurate account and machine profiles
- Promote all aspects of the Dealership
- Prospect new business within the assigned territory and qualify opportunities
- Determine customer requirements through needs analysis and provide solutions
- Develop customer quotes and tenders from recommendations made by Technicians and assist with quotes for new contracts
- Maintain Quote Log System ensuring timely and accurate sales information is provided
- Administer sales processes and systems including call reports, weekly call plans and other administrative duties in support of the business
- Assist with the development and administration of the annual territory plans and focus account plans for marketing programs targeted to prospective customers
- Ensure all sales tools and market intelligence remain current and develop new tools to increase product exposure
- Establish attainable monthly and yearly objectives intended to reinforce continuous improvement and achievement toward Company goals
- Assist in the collection of outstanding customer payments and facilitate resolutions/agreements
- Participate in appropriate training and development and attend industry association events
Requirements
- Post-Secondary degree in Geomatics, Engineering, Construction Management and/or Electronics preferred, but any Post-Secondary education will be given consideration
- Field experience in Civil Construction & Engineering
- Familiarity with construction processes and technology
- Experience with GPS/GNSS RTK survey solutions
- Experience with survey theory
- Experience with heavy equipment
- Sales experience in the construction industry
- Post-secondary education
