About the Role
Provides operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of secondary components HVAC equipment and all fixed and non-fixed, non-patient care HVAC equipment in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Supports hospital maintenance and preventative maintenance programs. May lead teams, teach skills, and review vendor work.
Responsibilities
- Operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of secondary components HVAC equipment
- Maintenance and preventative maintenance programs support
- Skilled maintenance duties for Plant Operations and Facilities Services Department
- Lead a group of workers on a project, as assigned
- Teach maintenance skills to other members of the department, as assigned
- Review work of outside vendors to report on discrepancies, as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4 – 6 years’ experience in operational level maintenance and engineering and/or demonstrated experience as a Tech II or equivalent
- Graduation from Trade School (Preferred)
- 6 years’ experience in operational level maintenance and engineering with 4 years’ being hospital experience (Preferred)
- Universal EPA Refrigerant Certification to be obtained within 6 months of hire/promotion
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- HVAC Controls or HVAC Mechanic Certification (Preferred)
