About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is hiring Pre-K Childcare Assistants for our Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with children and supporting their growth.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on activities including fitness, STEAM, academic, and art, as well as homework completion, following the Healthy Kids Curriculum.
  • Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment, acting as a positive role model for children.
  • Observe and adhere to state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.
  • Support program operations, including attendance records, registration, and staffing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
  • Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Location

  • Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY

Work Type

  • Part-time
  • Follows the school calendar
  • Morning Program: 6:30 AM - 9:15 AM
  • Afternoon Program: 2:15 PM - 6:30 PM

Experience Level

  • 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13 (minimum)

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Salary/Compensations

  • $16.00 per hour
