About the Role

As a Specialist Lead in our AI & Data team, you’ll bridge complex data challenges and robust, cloud-native solutions. You will combine deep technical expertise with consulting acumen to design, build, and optimize large-scale AWS data platforms for high-profile clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design highly scalable, secure data platforms using AWS services (Glue, Redshift, Athena, RDS, Lambda, MSK, Managed Flink, SageMaker, S3, LakeFormation, Quick) alongside tools like Airflow and dbt.
  • Direct multidisciplinary teams to untangle complex data engineering, platform automation, CI/CD, and advanced analytics problems.
  • Drive the adoption of cutting-edge AI and agentic workflows to scale and accelerate the delivery of modern data platforms.
  • Embed DevOps and FinOps best practices, including infrastructure as code, platform monitoring, data control planes, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with Solution Architects and business stakeholders to translate goals into technical blueprints.
  • Build production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL, Python, and big data frameworks to manage complex and diverse data sources.
  • Coach, inspire, and set the technical standard for teams.
  • Shape Deloitte's IP, run hackathons, host webinars, and help define the future of data offerings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years delivering large-scale, multi-cloud Data & AI platforms with a focus on AWS, ideally within consulting.
  • Deep hands-on experience with AWS Data & AI services.
  • Significant experience in SQL and Python.
  • Proven capability in engineering enterprise-grade streaming architectures and scalable data stores using frameworks like Apache Spark, Flink, Storm, and Kafka.
  • Solid background in data modeling, modern data warehousing, and data lake design.
  • Proven experience leading technical teams.
  • Experience communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience driving real change.
