About the Role
Provides excellent customer service by mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to patrons. Must know a wide range of drink recipes and be able to mix drinks accurately, quickly, and without waste.
Responsibilities
- Fills drink orders taken directly from patrons at the bar or through servers.
- Responsible for station inventory and cash banks.
- Checks customer identification to ensure they meet the minimum age requirement for alcohol and tobacco purchases.
- Prepares mixed drinks accurately, serves beer, and pours wine.
- Stocks and prepares garnishes for drinks.
- Maintains an adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies.
- Keeps the bar area clean for customers.
- Collects payment and operates the cash register.
- Washes glassware and utensils.
- Serves food to customers who dine at the bar.
- Maintains an inventory of liquor, mixes, and other bar supplies.
- Informs supervisor(s) of any inventory shortages.
- Serves and interacts with patrons.
- Answers phones and processes to-go orders.
- Operates juicers and other bar equipment to mix drinks.
- Adheres to assigned work schedule.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- TABC certification.
- Food Handler certification.
- Ability to work closely with other staff at a consistently fast pace while performing time-constrained tasks.
- Requires good memory to avoid confusing orders and to recall frequent patrons' faces, names, and preferences.
- Stands and walks behind the bar for the duration of the shift.
- Lifts and carries up to 25 pounds to stock the bar.
Skills
- Communication skills demonstrating friendliness and ease in talking with customers.
- General knowledge of bar drink recipes and enthusiasm for craft.
- Quality customer service skills.
- Basic POS skills to place orders and generate customer bills.
Experience Level
- Minimum 2 years experience in restaurant front of house staff.
