About the Role

The full-time Assistant Manager is responsible for the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees, acting as a representative consistent with Regal's mission and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Upholding and administering all theatre policies.
  • Training, developing, coaching, and supervising non-management employees.
  • Performing all staff positions as required.
  • Operating all projection and audio-visual equipment, including hardware, software, film handling, and maintenance.
  • Ensuring required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
  • Monitoring risk management, including employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and accident handling.
  • Ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Counting, depositing, and reconciling all daily receipts.
  • Adhering to dress code.
  • Completing the management certification program or being in the process.
  • Reviewing and understanding the ROM.
  • Interviewing, hiring, scheduling, coaching, counseling, suspending, and terminating employees, with oversight and consultation.
  • Administering HR paperwork and upholding company policies.
  • Controlling costs, including direct operating expenses.
  • Purchasing and ordering concession and café stock, and other operational supplies.
  • Managing inventory and auditing processes for supplies.
  • Supervising theatre maintenance, performing minor repairs, and obtaining personnel for larger concerns.
  • Marketing and promotions of feature film engagements.
  • Scheduling movie show times and ensuring timely delivery to all channels.
  • Reading and understanding training materials on topics such as sexual harassment and discrimination.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least three months of supervisory experience, or 6 months of theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof.
  • Potential leadership and/or management skills subject to VP approval.
  • Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcohol if applicable.
  • Complete legally required state or local alcohol training and obtain certification.
  • Complete Regal Responsible Beverage Server training.
  • Possess good public speaking skills.
  • Effectively communicate in both oral and written form.
  • Listen effectively, respond clearly and directly, and explain information to others.
  • Perform calculations with speed and accuracy.
  • Identify and correct errors in calculations.
  • Identify problems, gather relevant data, and note possible causes.
