About the Role

An Executive Producer leads Salt's largest and most complex projects, owning financial performance, serving as the senior client partner, and guiding cross-functional teams through high-stakes work. The ideal candidate is agile, decisive, and comfortable with ambiguity, knowing when to zoom out and when to get close.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic planning for large-scale, multi-faceted productions from concept through final reconciliation.
  • Own financial outcomes, including profitability, margin strategy, and reconciliation accountability.
  • Provide oversight across multiple projects, acting as a senior production resource for the portfolio.
  • Manage challenging work back schedules and lead complex decision-making within tight timelines.
  • Serve as the senior client partner on major productions, engaging in executive-level conversations.
  • Navigate political sensitivity and high-pressure environments with calm and clarity.
  • Provide strategic input to directors and creative teams, ensuring project vision aligns with client and brand expectations.
  • Define and maintain Roles & Responsibilities for project teams and partner agencies.
  • Oversee risk management and create mitigation strategies for complex challenges.
  • Manage large-scale productions and prioritize multiple projects at various lifecycle stages.
  • Monitor and reconcile budgets with finance and operations teams to meet internal financial goals.
  • Participate in company-wide meetings, including process training, improvement, culture, and updates.
  • Collaborate with agencies to deliver premium work.
  • Lead production audits and schedule reviews.
  • Maintain regular meetings with team members, promoting individual growth and development.
  • Foster a positive, can-do attitude, unity, and belonging within the team.
  • Leverage project talent collaboratively to achieve outstanding results.
  • Manage full-time staff, including company management, employee development, growth, and culture.
  • Travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Perform on-site and in-person work.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing budgets ranging from $5,000,000 to $15,000,000.
  • Confident in proposing next steps and leading a team from strategic thought through execution.
  • Well-rounded experience in various facets of event production (Logistics, Fabrication, Graphics, A/V, Furniture & Decor, Food & Beverage, etc.).
  • Understanding of both B2B and B2C business.
  • Ability to forecast potential project issues in advance.
  • Embody integrity, character, transparency, and accountability, leading by example.
  • Understanding of the creative process for large-scale events.
  • Comfortable having difficult conversations and adept at conflict resolution with teammates, vendors, and clients.
  • Able to kindly hold all parties accountable to deliver a great finished product.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Approach projects as an opportunity to create premium work and develop client relationships and strong teams.
  • Proficient with Google Docs and Slack (nice to have).
  • Passionate about the experiential marketing world and staying updated on industry news (nice to have).
