About the Role

NorthStar Logistics is seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as Delivery Drivers, partnering with Amazon for last-mile delivery services. In this vital role, you will ensure timely and accurate delivery of packages, playing a key part in exceeding customer expectations. We are looking for team players who desire to grow with the company, and military veterans are welcome.

Responsibilities

• Successfully handle and deliver packages as per Amazon's rules and regulations
• Safely drive and perform daily safety inspections on company vehicles
• Follow all local & state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
• Provide excellent customer service and satisfaction despite stressful events / conditions
• Keep pace in a physically demanding job; work in all weather conditions and on various routes; lift packages (up to 50lbs.); get in and out of a van repeatedly throughout the day at variable locations, delivering 200-300 packages a day
• Communicate effectively with support team to provide exceptional customer service and ensure deliveries are completed
• Use smartphone devices for GPS Navigation, scanning packages, conducting administrative requirements such as clocking in/out, and communicate with supervisors and other team members
• Load and unload packages in delivery vehicle
• Support the team in daily work requirements including participation in rescue calls when other team members need assistance with their routes
• If needed, carry out delivery station activities including sorting and general tasks
• Performing a rescue (Helping other delivery drivers deliver packages)

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted driver’s license within the state of employment (a Commercial Driver’s License is not required)
• Must maintain a clean motor vehicle report; multiple violations can disqualify you from the position
• Must pass a 5-panel drug screening (which does not include pre-employment testing for marijuana)
• Hard workers who are independent, flexible and who pay attention to details and can quickly problem solve a wide range of situations
• Enthusiastic, communicate effectively, and are ready to get the job done
• Enjoy being out on the road driving, put safety first, and care deeply about customer expectations and satisfaction
