About the Role
Fluidstack is building civilization-scale infrastructure for AI, delivering gigawatts of compute faster than anyone else. We are seeking individuals who care deeply about this mission and want to contribute to a company that prioritizes speed, scale, and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of physical installation projects, including coordinating Low Voltage Contractor (LVC) schedules.
- Run Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) on contractor work to ensure installations meet design standards, safety codes, and labeling policies.
- Serve as the primary on-site technical point of contact for the LVC and internal engineering teams.
- Act as remote hands during deployment and validation processes.
- Manage the LVC deployment schedule to milestones.
- Coordinate access, material delivery, and staging with facility operations.
- Report progress and delays on installation projects.
- Run multi-stage QA inspections on rack placement, racking, cable routing, grounding, and labeling against the Bill of Materials (BoM) and design documentation.
- Conduct or oversee optical loss testing (OLTS), OTDR analysis, and insertion/return loss on all fiber links.
- Verify copper (Cat6a/Cat8) integrity with certified testers.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for fiber and structured cabling best practices (BICSI).
- Generate final test reports, as-builts, and Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
- Own closeout and handoff of projects to operations.
Requirements
- Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in fiber optics, structured cabling, and data center physical infrastructure.
- Hands-on deployment experience on mission-critical sites.
- Proficiency in running advanced fiber testing (OTDR, VFL, power meter).
- Thorough understanding of installation techniques and design standards.
- Experience racking, stacking, and cabling servers, network, and storage hardware at scale.
- Ability to read and translate technical drawings and schematics (AutoCAD, Visio).
- Proven ability to drive projects to completion through ambiguity.
- Willingness to travel 50% for onsite turn-ups.
