About the Role

Responsibilities
- Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous MRI services to patients.
- Take high-quality radiographs and image patients according to approved MRI protocols.
- Review images and send them to PACS for interpretation.
- Close exams in EPIC/PACS.
- Prepare, identify, and/or administer medication as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
- Transport patients to and from rooms when required.
- Provide a safe environment for patients.
- Explain procedures to patients and address concerns.
- Properly screen patients by reviewing medical history.
- Perform clinical pause before starting each exam.
- Ensure rooms are clean and ready for patients.
- Maintain adequate inventory levels in diagnostic Radiology rooms.
- Restock supplies in rooms.
- Clean and organize CT Scan rooms after patient use.
- Complete daily checklists for safe patient care and regulatory readiness.
- Enhance professional growth through educational programs and literature.
- Maintain competence through continuing education and required credits for licensure.
- Attend department meetings regularly.
Requirements
- Completion of a formal radiology technology training program from an AMA-approved school.
- Clinical experience within Radiology preferred; new graduates are welcome.
- ARRT Registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
- NYS Registered as a Radiologic Technologist.
- ARRT Certification in MRI.
- BLS Certification.
- Ability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret information to identify patient needs.
- Ability to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
- Heavy Work physical requirements: exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly to move objects.
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, stooping, and fit testing.
- Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
- Constant typing/clerical/dexterity, grasping, hearing, repetitive motion, and seeing/monitor/computer use.
- Exposure to bodily fluids/bloodborne pathogens and radiation/radiant energy.
- Occasional noise in working conditions.
