About the Role

Own the document control system for datacenter design and construction, covering drawings, specs, submittals, and revisions across many concurrent sites. Run configuration management so every site is built to the current approved baseline and no team works off a superseded drawing. Set and enforce the naming, versioning, and approval workflows that keep engineering documents traceable from design through as-built. Manage the flow of documents between design firms, EPCs, vendors, and internal teams so approvals never stall the build. Maintain the audit trail and revision history that construction, commissioning, and closeout teams depend on.

Responsibilities

Own the document control system for datacenter design and construction.
Manage drawings, specs, submittals, and revisions across multiple concurrent sites.
Run configuration management to ensure sites are built to the current approved baseline.
Prevent teams from working off superseded drawings.
Set and enforce naming, versioning, and approval workflows for engineering documents.
Ensure document traceability from design through as-built.
Manage document flow between design firms, EPCs, vendors, and internal teams.
Prevent approval delays from stalling the build process.
Maintain audit trails and revision history for construction, commissioning, and closeout teams.

Requirements

Experience running document control for large engineering or construction programs with numerous drawings, revisions, and stakeholders.
Experience owning configuration management and identifying instances where teams used superseded revisions.
Experience setting up or administering document control systems (e.g., Aconex, Procore, SharePoint) and enforcing workflows.
Experience managing document flow across external design firms, EPCs, and vendors without causing approval bottlenecks.
Ability to maintain clean records for auditors, commissioning agents, or closeout teams to trace documents.
Proactive identification of missing signatures, incorrect revisions, or untracked changes before they impact the field.
