About the Role
Implement cost-saving measures and cost containment strategies through product standardization and consolidation. Access and conduct new product trials. Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the daily QA reporting system and prepare monthly QA reports. Determine instrument needs and resolve instrument issues by acting as a liaison between Central Sterile Processing and Operating Rooms. Manage the instrument coding and tracking system, including an automated database of all instruments ordered and received, and track/record instrument expenditures for operational budget development.
Responsibilities
- Implement cost saving measures and cost containment strategies through product standardization and consolidation
- Access and conduct new product trials
- Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the daily QA reporting system
- Prepare monthly QA report for Operating Room Director
- Determine instrument needs and resolve instrument issues by acting as a liaison between the Central Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Rooms
- Responsible for instrument coding and tracking system which includes an automated data base of all instruments ordered and received

Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in health care or equivalent experience
- Clinical expertise within field or specialty
- Demonstrated skill in Materials Management and Information Systems
- All roles require on-site presence
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses
